Philosophy, curation, and experience.

The Philosophy of the Lens

How would you describe your artistic style?

My style is documentary wedding photography with an editorial finish, focusing on unscripted moments and architectural light. I prioritize the 'Sunday Afternoon' energy of a celebration, documenting your truth with a distinguished, quiet eye rather than directing the day.

What does "Documentary Wedding Photography" mean for our day?

This means your wedding is a celebration, not a photo shoot. I focus on the "in-between" moments: the nervous glances, the spontaneous laughter, and the way the light shifts as the day unfolds. My role is to preserve the spirit, laughter, and soul of your story so that the final gallery feels like a living memory, not a series of poses.

Why hire a solo wedding photographer in Greece?

I operate exclusively as a solo documentarian to maintain a consistent artistic narrative and a quiet, unobtrusive presence. Large crews often disrupt the very rhythm they are meant to capture. For intentional, intimate gatherings, a single expert eye ensures a more honest and cohesive archive.

The Craft & The Medium

Do you shoot on film or digital?

I like to utilize a dual-medium approach to ensure your legacy is both technically precise and soulfully textured. While digital allows for high-spirited movement, 35mm film (I use Kodak Portra 400 or Fujifilm)captures the nostalgic, sculptural essence of the Mediterranean. This balance creates a gallery that is both modern and timeless.

Will we feel self-conscious with a camera following us?

Quite the opposite. Because I blend into the background and minimize staging, most couples find they hardly notice I am there. My presence is calm and unobtrusive, creating a safe space where you can be entirely yourselves.

How many photos do you receive from a Greek destination wedding?

How many images will we receive, and when?

Rather than a bulk delivery, you receive a meticulously curated visual narrative. For a full-day celebration, this typically results in 500 to 700 professionally polished images that reflect the truth of your day. Your private online gallery is delivered within 4 to 6 weeks, though I often share "sneak peeks" just days after the ceremony if asked to. Please note that as a solo artist, I prioritize the quality and emotional weight of each frame over sheer volume. Your gallery is a hand-picked collection of moments that tell a cohesive, artistic story.

How do we secure our date with you?

To ensure an intimate and dedicated experience for each couple, I accept a limited number of commissions each season. Your date is secured with a signed agreement and a retainer. I recommend reaching out 10 to 24 months in advance, particularly for the popular island wedding seasons.

Do you offer fixed packages?

Yes, however every celebration is as unique as the couple behind it. My work is less about fixed packages and more about bespoke storytelling. Whether you are planning an intimate elopement on a windswept cliff or a multi-day gathering in a village square, I tailor my presence to match the rhythm and needs of your story.

Navigating the Greek islands

Which islands do you cover?

As a destination wedding photographer based in Rhodes and Naxos, I provide photography services throughout the Greek islands. This includes popular locations like Paros, Sifnos, and Patmos, as well as hidden gems like Folegandros and Antiparos. My local knowledge ensures I can navigate the unique lighting and logistics of the Greek islands with ease.

What is the best time for wedding portraits in Santorini, Naxos or Rhodes?

Light is the most important element of my work. In Greece, the "Golden Hour" before sunset is truly transformative. I will work closely with you (or your planner) to ensure your ceremony and portrait session are timed perfectly to catch this light, ensuring those dreamy, sun-drenched film frames we all love.

How do you handle the high-contrast light of a Santorini wedding?

Santorini’s light is iconic but intense, especially against the white-washed architecture of Oia and Imerovigli. I utilize 35mm analogue film specifically for its superior ability to hold detail in bright highlights and deep shadows. This ensures that even in the midday Mediterranean sun, your gallery maintains creamy skin tones and a soft, painterly quality that digital alone often struggles to capture.

What are the best locations for an editorial wedding shoot in Mykonos?

Beyond the classic windmills, I am drawn to the graphic shadows and quiet, winding alleys of Chora for an editorial feel. For a more raw, documentary-style aesthetic, I highly recommend the north-facing beaches like Agios Sostis. The rugged landscape and uninhibited wind there provide a cinematic, "C'est la Vie" atmosphere that translates beautifully to 35mm film.

Can you assist with the logistics of planning from abroad?

While I am not a wedding planner, my local roots and decades of experience in Greece are at your disposal. I frequently guide my international couples—especially those traveling from the United States, Canada or Australia—on the best timing for light, hidden location gems, and essential local insights to ensure your day flows with effortless grace.

How do you handle travel between the islands?

I handle all my own travel logistics (ferries, flights, and accommodations) to try to be on-site and scouting 24 hours before your ceremony. For weddings outside of my home base, a flat travel fee is included in your proposal, so there are no hidden costs or surprises later.

What should we expect on the day?

Expect the ease of a Sunday Afternoon. I handle the technical complexities of the Greek light so you can remain fully present in the rhythm of your celebration.

Is film photography trending for weddings in Greece in 2026?

In 2026, couples are pivoting toward "Authentic Nostalgia." Integrating 35mm or medium-format film into a Greek wedding gallery adds organic grain and a tactile quality that digital sensors cannot perfectly replicate. This aesthetic perfectly complements the bright Greek sun, softening highlights and producing timeless, heirloom-quality imagery.

How do I incorporate the film photography trend into my Greek wedding?

To achieve the 2026 "Authentic Nostalgia" look, we recommend a hybrid package. We use 35mm film for intimate portraits and the "Blue Hour" to capture organic grain, while using digital "Docu-Edit" techniques for the ceremony to ensure high-speed reliability.

Is it better to shoot at Golden Hour or Blue Hour in the Greek Islands?

While Golden Hour offers classic warmth, the 2026 trend favors Blue Hour (post-sunset). This "hushed" time provides a moody, indigo palette that feels more modern and intimate, especially against the illuminated whitewashed walls of islands like Sifnos or Ios.

How can we avoid crowds in Santorini for our wedding photos?

The most effective "How-To" for avoiding crowds is scheduling a Sunrise Session (5:30 AM–7:00 AM). At this hour, the caldera is empty, the light is soft, and you can access iconic spots like Oia's Blue Domes without the 2026 "over-tourism" delays.

What should guests weaR

What is "Docu-Edit" photography, and why is it trending in 2026?

Docu-Edit is a rejection of overly posed, "filter-heavy" styles. It focuses on true-to-life colors and unscripted moments (documentary) while applying a high-end, magazine-style finish (editorial). It’s trending because couples in 2026 value authenticity over "AI-perfect" staged images.

Whether you’re dreaming of an intimate elopement on the cliffs of Anafi or a grand celebration in historic Athens, the timing is everything.

Planning your event? My peak dates in June and September are usually the first to go. Explore my destination wedding galleries to see how the light changes throughout the year, or get in touch here to talk about your date.
